Responsibilities
- Act as the trusted primary liaison between internal business unit heads (IT, Claims, Customer Service, Legal, Compliance) and external partners.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear procurement scopes of work (SOWs) and technical vendor specifications.
- Proactively manage internal stakeholder expectations regarding vendor timelines, capabilities, deliverables, and service escalations.
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including request for proposals (RFPs), vendor evaluation, and selection processes for business operations.
- Partner with Legal and Finance to lead contract negotiations, commercial terms, and renewals, ensuring optimal cost efficiency and robust service level agreements (SLAs).
- Drive post-merger or post-contract optimization to continuously extract commercial value from key vendor partnerships.
- Oversee day-to-day vendor deliverables, ensuring external partners meet strict KPIs and contractual obligations.
- Establish and facilitate regular governance structures, including monthly operational reviews and quarterly steering committee meetings.
- Manage contract lifecycles, tracking renewal dates, mid-term adjustments, and vendor offboarding procedures.
- Design, implement, and maintain the third-party risk management (TPRM) framework for outsourced operations.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments during vendor onboarding and throughout the contract lifecycle, identifying operational, financial, and data privacy risks.
Requirements
- University graduate or above; with 5+ years of experiences and proven professional experience encompassing end-to-end vendor management, outsourcing contract negotiation, and comprehensive risk management frameworks within a dedicated insurance operations environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex contractual or risk concepts to non-technical business partners.
- Proven ability to influence and build consensus among senior management and cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
- Strong grip on end-to-end procurement processes, contract structures, commercial negotiations, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience in regulated field (e.g. Insurance, Finance etc.) is preferred
- Familiarity with local financial regulatory frameworks governing outsourcing and third-party risk.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
