About the client
Our client is an international, European based, fast‑expanding consumer business with a diverse, multi‑category product portfolio and a rapidly growing footprint across Asia and key global markets.

With a strong sourcing and manufacturing base in Asia and extensive partnerships with OEM/ODM suppliers, the company is investing heavily in elevating product quality, regulatory robustness and data‑driven decision making to support ambitious growth and new category expansion.

The Head of Global Quality will sit at the centre of this agenda, providing strategic leadership, setting global standards and building a modern, scalable quality organisation that can keep pace with innovation, complexity and customer expectations.

This opportunity will suit a commercially minded senior quality leader from a consumer‑product background who enjoys transformation, stakeholder influence and building teams and frameworks for the future.

Job Responsibilities
  • Shape and own the global product quality blueprint, turning business growth plans and new category ambitions into a clear, actionable quality strategy
  • Roll out consistent quality frameworks, processes and toolkits across different regions and product lines, making sure teams work to a common standard while allowing for local nuances
  • Lead and develop a distributed team across the four pillars (Regulatory, QA, QC, Analytics), creating clarity on roles, decision rights and expected behaviours
  • Define the global quality targets and indicators, regularly updating senior leaders on performance, emerging risks and where improvements are needed
  • Take overall charge of the regulatory agenda globally, keeping ahead of changing requirements and ensuring the business is prepared for upcoming rules and geo‑political shifts
  • Oversee the full regulatory lifecycle for relevant products, from approvals and technical files through to claims, labelling and post‑launch monitoring
  • Build and continually raise the bar on supplier quality programmes, from initial assessment and onboarding through to ongoing performance reviews and improvement roadmaps, especially with OEM/ODM partners
  • Work hand‑in‑hand with manufacturing, operations and supply chain teams to embed controls on the shopfloor, reduce waste and rework, and lower the overall cost of poor quality
  • Build from scratch a practical quality data and insights framework, including dashboards and predictive views that allow early detection of trends and issues
  • Take a leading role when major incidents occur, coordinating across time zones, keeping senior stakeholders updated and ensuring lasting fixes are implemented after the event.
  • Maintain a clear view of key risks, mitigation plans and business continuity scenarios across suppliers, categories and markets
Skills and requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or a related technical discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • Extensive senior experience leading product quality and technical functions in large, complex, multi‑category consumer product environments
  • Deep technical expertise in quality management systems and global regulatory compliance (e.g. ISO 13485, ISO 9001) and proven ability to navigate complex, multi‑market regulatory landscapes
  • Demonstrated track record in defining and operationalising unified global quality strategies and transforming immature teams and policies into modern, high‑performing functions
  • Significant experience resolving complex cross‑border quality issues and managing external testing houses and laboratories.
  • High cross‑cultural competence and experience leading diverse, international teams in a matrixed, fast‑changing global environment.
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (spoken and written) is mandatory, with the ability to handle daily technical, regulatory and commercial communication with suppliers and partners across Greater China and Asia
