About the client
Our client is a well-established law firm with a strong presence in Hong Kong and a professional, collaborative working environment. They are looking to appoint an HR Assistant / Coordinator to support the day-to-day delivery of HR operations ensuring smooth execution of employee lifecycle processes, accurate administration, and high service standards across the office.

This opportunity would suit a detail-minded HR professional who enjoys a structured environment and is comfortable handling confidential information while supporting a broad range of HR activities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the end-to-end coordination of recruitment activities, including job posting, CV screening, interview scheduling and candidate communication
  • Prepare offer documentation, collect onboarding paperwork and coordinate orientation arrangements for new joiners
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring proper filing, documentation control and data privacy standards
  • Assist with offboarding administration, including preparation of leaver documents, exit process coordination and follow-up on firm property return
  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with the relevant internal teams, including leave updates, joiners, leavers and other employee changes
  • Manage leave records and support day-to-day administration of employee benefits and related HR systems
  • Provide administrative support for performance review cycles, including tracking timelines, maintaining documentation and supporting users on the performance management platform
  • Support HR initiatives, engagement activities, operational audits and process improvement projects as required
  • Support in any ad hoc tasks when necessary
Skills and requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
  • At least 2 years of HR experience, ideally gained in a law firm, professional services or similarly structured environment
  • Hands-on exposure to HR operations before, from payroll administration to recruitment etc.
  • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information
  • Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin, with Chinese word processing capability preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence working with HR systems or digital platforms
