Insurance Products and Propositions Manager

Our client is a well-established international insurance and wealth solutions group with a strong presence in Hong Kong and regional markets. They are looking for an Insurance Products and Propositions Manager to review and compare life insurance products, support business development, and provide practical product advice to the sales team.

Responsibilities

• Review and compare life insurance products, including whole life, universal life, participating, and investment-linked plans.
• Compare products available in Hong Kong, Singapore, and offshore markets, including Bermuda.
• Explain the key features, benefits, risks, costs, and differences between products in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
• Recommend suitable products for different client needs, such as estate planning, wealth transfer, retirement planning, and business continuity.
• Prepare product comparison tables, presentation decks, sales tools, and other materials to support the sales and advisory teams.
• Work closely with insurance companies’ distribution, product development, actuarial, and investment teams to obtain product information, market updates, and performance data.
• Discuss and negotiate with insurers on commercial terms, commission structures, underwriting guidelines, and incentive arrangements.
• Monitor regulatory changes, market trends, and competitor products to help keep the product portfolio competitive and compliant.
• Conduct product training and provide ongoing product support to sales and advisory teams.
• Review market and regulator data and prepare reports for management.
• Work with compliance, operations, and technology teams to support smooth product onboarding and administration.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Business, Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience in insurance product management, product comparison, product propositions, insurance brokerage, bancassurance, wealth management, or a related area.
• Candidates with strong life insurance product comparison experience are welcome to apply, even if they have not worked in a traditional product management role.
• Good knowledge of life insurance products, including whole life, universal life, participating, and investment-linked plans.
• Experience comparing insurance products across Hong Kong, Singapore, or offshore markets is an advantage.
