Job description

We are seeking an IT Business Analyst – Core Insurance Systems to support thecore platforms. The role focuses on policy administration, claims, underwriting, and billing systems, supporting operational workflows, etc. The candidate will bridge business operations, IT, vendors, and compliance teams to ensure system stability and effective delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements for insurance-related systems, covering areas such as policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing and reporting
  • Act as the key liaison between business users, IT teams and external vendors to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered
  • Prepare functional specifications, user stories, process flows and system documentation
  • Support system enhancement projects, regulatory initiatives and digital transformation programmes
  • Facilitate workshops, UAT planning and execution, defect tracking and post‑implementation review
  • Ensure solutions comply with internal standards, regulatory requirements and best practices within the insurance industry
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, preferably within insurance or financial services
  • Solid understanding of insurance business processes (Life / General insurance experience is an advantage)
  • Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis and UAT support
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Immediate availability or able to onboard at short notice is highly preferred
