Job Duties
- Act as the key liaison between business teams and IT for the core system revamp.
- Partner with agency, distribution, and finance stakeholders to review current workflows and design future compensation models.
- Conduct requirement‑gathering sessions through workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs.
- Capture and document business needs such as compensation rules, calculation methods, eligibility criteria, exceptions, and reporting requirements.
- Convert business inputs into structured functional specifications and system documentation.
- Prepare and maintain project deliverables including requirement documents, process maps, data flow diagrams, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and vendors to ensure solutions align with business intent.
- Support system design discussions and validate proposed solutions against business objectives.
- Assist in test planning and execution, including defining UAT scope, preparing test cases, and coordinating business users during testing.
- Provide clarification and impact analysis during defect triage and implementation phases.
- Track requirement changes and maintain traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Report progress, risks, and issues to project leadership and support governance activities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, ideally within insurance or financial services.
- Prior exposure to Hong Kong insurance market is advantageous.
- Strong background in agent compensation, commission, bonus, or incentive systems highly valued.
- Proven ability to manage requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement in complex projects.
- Experience in system revamp or enhancement initiatives, particularly core platforms.
- Familiarity with regulatory‑driven changes and working with external vendors or system integrators.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities across cross‑functional teams.
- Skilled in process modelling, data analysis, and functional design.
- Knowledge of SIT/UAT processes, test case preparation, and defect management.
- Independent, structured, and quality‑focused mindset.
