Our client is a sizable and well-regarded insurance platform in Hong Kong with an established agency distribution business. They are looking for a Senior Manager, CAO Office to support the Chief Agency Officer in driving agency office administration, governance, and strategic development, with a strong focus on using data, facts, and market insights to support business decisions and long-term channel growth.
This role is designed for a candidate with solid experience in agency strategy, business planning, sales governance, or agency operations within the insurance sector. It offers broad exposure to senior stakeholders and agency leaders, and will suit someone who is both commercially minded and execution focused.
Responsibilities
  • Support the CAO in designing, operationalizing, and continuously enhancing agency strategy, using business data, field performance trends, and market insights to drive sustainable growth, productivity improvement, and greater professionalism across the distribution force.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, implementation plans, and measurable deliverables, ensuring strong alignment between agency objectives and wider business goals.
  • Conduct regular analysis on agency performance indicators, including production, productivity, recruitment, activity, persistency, and other relevant channel metrics, to generate fact-based recommendations for management review and decision-making.
  • Partner closely with the CAO and agency leaders to assess market developments, competitive positioning, and distribution trends, and turn insights into practical strategies that strengthen agency performance and channel development.
  • Support agency office administration, including office operations, premises-related matters, budget monitoring, and cost control initiatives, to ensure efficient day-to-day support for the agency business.
  • Review and enhance internal processes and operating practices within the agency office to improve efficiency, service quality, execution standards, and ease of doing business for agency leaders and the field force.
  • Strengthen agency governance by supporting the review and implementation of policies, controls, guidelines, programs, and campaigns, ensuring consistency with company standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Monitor key agency KPIs, dashboards, and management reports to identify performance gaps, emerging risks, or execution issues, and work with relevant stakeholders to drive timely follow-up and continuous improvement.
  • Drive and coordinate strategic and cross-functional initiatives involving distribution, operations, finance, compliance, risk, HR, marketing, product, and technology teams to improve agency effectiveness and business impact.
  • Support annual planning, business reviews, strategic projects, and agency development initiatives in partnership with agency leaders, helping ensure clear priorities, disciplined follow-through, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted support to the CAO office by balancing strategic projects with ongoing business priorities, while maintaining strong attention to detail and execution quality.
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Solid experience in insurance or financial services, ideally with direct exposure to agency distribution, agency management, or intermediary sales channels.
  • Proven experience in agency strategy, business planning, agency governance, or operations management within an insurance company.
  • Strong understanding of agency business drivers and performance metrics, with the ability to interpret data, derive insights, and turn findings into practical action plans.
  • Experience supporting senior business leaders and working with multiple stakeholders across business and support functions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and priorities in a structured and effective manner.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage agency leaders and senior management.
  • Commercially minded, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
  • Prior team management or people leadership experience will be an advantage.
Why Join
