Our client is a well known regional bank, seeking an experienced data leader to drive enterprise data capabilities and enable advanced analytics across the business. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, shaping how data is leveraged to support strategic growth and innovation.

responsibilities
  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating data needs into scalable solutions
  • Lead the end-to-end development and management of enterprise data platforms to support analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives
  • Oversee data onboarding, transformation, and integration processes across multiple systems, including core operational platforms
  • Drive the design and enhancement of data models, data marts, and reusable data assets for business consumption
  • Enable business users through self-service data tools for querying, reporting, and insight generation
  • Develop and implement data tagging, classification, and enrichment strategies using both internal and external data sources
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, accessibility, and governance across the organization
  • Design and maintain modern data architecture, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time data pipelines
  • Partner with analytics and AI teams to prepare high-quality datasets suitable for advanced modeling and automation
  • Identify business opportunities through analysis of customer and operational data (structured and unstructured)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on project delivery and system enhancements
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of data professionals, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and data governance standards
  • Monitor and manage data-related risks, ensuring proper controls and access management are in place
requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or data engineering within large-scale organizations; prior financial services experience is highly preferred
  • At least 5 years of team leadership or people management experience
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, including data warehousing and analytics platforms
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale data initiatives from design through implementation
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and building analytical data layers (e.g., data marts)
  • Familiarity with modern data tools and frameworks such as Airflow, dbt, Kafka, and similar technologies
  • Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or equivalent
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business insights
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese
