Job description

My client is a MNC who is looking for a Distribution and Logistics Manager, responsible for distribution of goods and products across various locations. You will be responsible for developing distribution plans, coordinating logistics operations, and optimizing supply chain processes to meet customer demands while minimizing costs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement distribution plans based on customer demands, inventory levels, and production capabilities.
  • Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Analyze demand patterns, historical data, and market trends to forecast future demand accurately.
  • Monitor inventory levels across the distribution network and implement strategies to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to distribution and logistics, such as on-time delivery, fill rates, and transportation costs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, production, sales, and customer service, to align distribution plans with overall business objectives.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional -CSCP) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in distribution planning, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software, forecasting tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners effectively.
  • Knowledge of transportation modes, customs regulations, and industry best practices.
