With the new direction of the company, my client has upgraded an headcount to look for an APAC Head of HR to oversee their HR function across Asia. This role will act as a key leader to work closely with top management and to set up the “best practice” for HR team across the regions. The ideal candidate should be agile and visionary, worked from big corporates before with large scale of staff would be an advantage. Candidates who are from commercial industries are desired. This role will be directly reporting to the Asia business head and managing a team of 10+.

Job Description:
Senior Leadership/ Supervisory Duties
- Act as one of the key members in the Leadership team to set up HR strategies (from different HR perspective e.g. Organisation Design, Talent Management etc.) that fit to the business’ priorities
- Closely communicate with business leaders across APAC for company’s and talent strategies as well as working closely with global for any upcoming projects that has to be launch across the region
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department
- Lead the whole HR team and empower the team to deliver the desired result
- Act as a coach / mentor for direct subordinates and provide constructive advise to them so as to groom them / unlock their full potential
- Oversees the overall foundation elements of HR – including but not limited to Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & development and Employee Relations
- Act as the Lead across the globe to provide high level advisory for countries when needed
- Introduce the “HR Best Practice” to different countries across the globe and ensure the localisation/ implementation goes smoothly
- Oversees HR policies and framework on APAC level, implement & align the generic policies if necessary
- Review the existing HR workflow and streamline the unnecessary process to increase team overall efficiency
- Maintain the knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to top management
- Lead any HR transformation / ad hoc projects when necessary
- University degree in HR Management or related discipline
- At least 15 years of HR experience with a minimum of 6 years of experience as the overall HR team leader
- Candidates has regional / global experience are desired
- Native / near native in English is a MUST, able to speak Cantonese/ Mandarin is highly desired
- Open to candidates who are willing to relocate to HK
