Lead the transformation of data and AI across a global insurance enterprise. This role drives innovation through cloud-native platforms like Azure and Databricks, deploying advanced analytics, LLMs, and Generative AI. - Provide strategic leadership to a high-performing team of data science analysts, cultivating a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and results-oriented execution.
- Champion the enterprise-wide adoption and integration of AI and data-driven solutions, demonstrating a strong leadership presence and forward-thinking mindset.
- Oversee the full lifecycle delivery of impactful Data & AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and operational goals, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and scalable growth.
- Architect and implement robust data pipelines, Data Marts, and data products using Azure Cloud and Databricks, leveraging Python, PySpark, and modern cloud technologies.
- Spearhead the deployment of advanced machine learning models, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI applications such as document understanding, summarization, and retrieval-augmented generation, with a proven record of successful implementations.
- Establish and maintain strong data partnerships by applying deep business acumen, translating complex analytics into actionable strategies, and managing stakeholder relationships with maturity and influence.
- Facilitate organizational transformation through knowledge sharing and team upskilling in AI/ML methodologies, cloud engineering, and emerging technologies.
- Advocate for best practices in AI, cloud data engineering, and analytics, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery while upholding operational excellence.
- Continuously explore new opportunities for data-driven automation and AI innovation to generate sustainable business value.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, AI Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 7 years of experience in data science, AI, or machine learning, including a minimum of 2 years in a senior leadership or managerial role.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud, Databricks, data pipeline architecture, and cloud-based data engineering.
- Proven capability in building, deploying, and operationalizing machine learning models—particularly LLMs—with measurable business impact.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, adept at navigating complex relationships and influencing senior decision-makers.
- Inspirational leadership style with a focus on team development, motivation, and technical upskilling.
- Highly proactive and innovative, with a track record of anticipating future needs and driving transformative change.
- Good command of written and spoken in English & Cantonese
