Head of Product Compliance (Global Crypto Products)
A leading global digital asset platform is hiring a Head of Product Compliance to build and lead product compliance oversight across a broad suite of crypto products. This is a strategic, commercially minded leadership role at the heart of the product lifecycle—partnering with Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk and Compliance to enable innovation while ensuring a robust, risk-based compliance posture across multiple jurisdictions.

The Opportunity

You’ll translate complex global regulatory requirements into pragmatic, scalable product controls, enabling “compliance-by-design” while maintaining speed-to-market.
Key Objectives
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Product and business teams, embedding compliance considerations into product strategy and execution using a clear risk-based approach
- Establish a streamlined product compliance framework to oversee regulatory compliance of all products globally
- Optimize product compliance processes (risk assessments, governance, approvals, sign-offs) for efficiency and scalability
- Provide proactive guidance on evolving global regulations and their impact on multi-jurisdictional product scaling
1) Product Compliance Framework & Risk-Based Advisory
- Design and implement a firm-wide product compliance framework covering end-to-end product compliance risks, with a focus on efficiency and automation in governance workflows
- Act as the embedded compliance partner for product teams, delivering clear, actionable and solution-oriented guidance throughout the product lifecycle
- Review product flows, user journeys, technical documentation and control design to ensure compliance risks are addressed early
- Lead pre-launch risk assessments for new products and material changes, focusing on high-impact areas such as AML/CFT, sanctions, market integrity/abuse, investor protection
- Partner with Legal, Risk and Engineering to interpret regulations and translate them into scalable product requirements and control designs
- Develop and maintain policies/procedures defining minimum viable compliance requirements for product delivery
- Ensure alignment with relevant global regulatory expectations (e.g., US, UK, EU/MiCA, Singapore, Dubai, and other key markets), with focus on practical product implications and user experience
- Own a data-driven approach to post-launch monitoring of product controls against compliance obligations
- Partner with assurance/testing teams to design targeted, risk-focused testing that validates control effectiveness and efficiency
- Identify, escalate and remediate compliance issues, driving continuous improvement of product controls and governance
- Act as SME during regulatory exams/audits, articulating risk-based decisioning for product design and launches
- Build impactful training for Product and Engineering teams, positioning compliance as a design requirement and competitive advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, Engineering or related field
- 10+ years in compliance, product compliance or regulatory advisory (leadership experience strongly preferred) within crypto, fintech, or financial services
- Strong understanding of global regulatory themes impacting digital asset products
- Deep familiarity with crypto product sets such as spot, derivatives, staking, lending/borrowing, NFTs, DeFi and stablecoins
- Ability to translate complex regulations into practical product strategies, requirements and controls
- Strong stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk and Compliance
- Analytical, solutions-oriented mindset with strong risk judgment
- Track record building scalable, tech-enabled compliance workflows and governance
- Experience in a crypto exchange or product-led fintech/technology financial services environment
- Certifications such as CAMS / ICA
- Knowledge of emerging digital asset risks (AML/CFT, sanctions, market abuse)
