Job description

Our client is a prominent financial institution within the APAC region, offering an array of services encompassing corporate finance, debt markets, equity capital markets, derivatives, etc. They're currently looking for a Lead Front End Engineer, VP. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining user interfaces for FX trading applications. Your expertise in React.js or Next.js will be instrumental in building scalable, efficient, and user-friendly frontend solutions.

Job Description:
  • Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using React and Next.js
  • Create responsive and interactive user interfaces meeting the requirements of both web and desktop applications.
  • Implement interactive features and visual elements based on user feedback and design concepts.
  • Optimize applications for performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Perform thorough cross-browser testing and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Work closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.
  • Actively participate in Agile development using Scrum or similar methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure project success.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Front End Developer with a strong focus on React.js and Next.js.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with React state management (e.g., Redux or Mobx).
  • Experience with Electron JS for cross-platform application development.
  • Working knowledge of GraphQL and REST API, websockets and using them for message driven applications
  • Knowledge of data visualization libraries like D3.js
  • Familiarity with order management systems and related trading systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with Git and version control.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Prior experience working in Agile or Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
