Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the company’s institutional trading matching engine, ensuring stable and efficient performance under high concurrency and load
- Design and implement high-performance, low-latency matching algorithms tailored to market dynamics and evolving business needs
- Optimize performance and architecture of key modules such as order matching, matching algorithms, and order book management
- Participate in architecture planning for trading systems to ensure high availability, scalability, fault tolerance, and system performance
- Design efficient strategies for messaging queues, databases, and caching to support large-scale concurrent trading requests
- Lead continuous architectural optimization and system refactoring to improve fault tolerance, maintainability, and operational stability
- Handle high-concurrency transaction requests while maintaining fast order matching and system responsiveness
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks and enhance performance through code optimization, concurrency control, and database tuning
- Design and implement load balancing and distributed processing strategies to ensure high throughput with low latency
- Understand market structure and trading rules to design efficient, compliant matching algorithms
- Continuously analyze and iterate algorithm performance to ensure fairness and matching efficiency
- Track financial market innovations and explore new trading models and optimization strategies to drive technical innovation
- Serve as a technical leader guiding team members through research and development efforts
- Lead design of technical solutions and solve key challenges through innovation
- Work closely with product, operations, and QA teams to ensure smooth development and timely delivery of the matching system
- Ensure trading system security by contributing to secure architecture design to defend against attacks and misuse
- Participate in disaster recovery design and simulation exercises to guarantee rapid system recovery and business continuity
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or related fields
- 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years in building matching systems for financial domains (e.g. securities, futures, foreign exchange)
- Proven ability to design and develop high-concurrency, low-latency systems; deep understanding of financial trading workflows and technical infrastructure
- Proficient in distributed systems architecture; hands-on experience with message queues, databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis), and caching strategies for scalable trading platforms
- Strong expertise in high-performance computing, memory management, and concurrent programming
- Skilled in designing low-latency matching engines and algorithms aligned with trading rules
- Familiarity with Spring Boot / Spring Cloud frameworks
- Solid experience in Java multithreading, concurrency control, and JVM performance tuning
- Understanding of financial instruments and trading mechanisms across securities, derivatives, and forex markets
- Experience with blockchain and digital asset trading systems is highly desirable
- Background in financial derivatives platforms, securities exchanges, or market-making solutions is a plus
- Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes; exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and distributed deployment patterns
- Project management experience with frameworks like PMP or Scrum, enabling efficient delivery in agile environments
- Fluency in English and Mandarin are essential, with prior experience in crypto or fintech being highly desirable
