Company Background:
This role is with a rapidly expanding international hedge fund focusing on alternative investments with a strong presence in the Singapore market. They are current looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Regulatory Compliance VP to work as an individual contributor helping out on regulatory matters including licensing, keeping abreast compliance updates and communicating with MAS and internal & external stakeholders.
Job Details:
• Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and ensuring the organization’s compliance with these requirements
• Conducting regular reviews of the organization’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Developing and implementing compliance training programs for staff and ensuring that staff are adequately informed of such requirements
• Drafting, vetting, and disseminating compliance policies, procedures, and other relevant documentation
• Acting as the primary point of contact with regulators and ensuring that all responses and requests are handled in a timely and accurate manner
• Performing regulatory compliance assessments and reporting results to senior management
• Conducting regular internal and external compliance audits
Preferred Expereince:
The ideal candidate would need to have at least 6-7 years of experience focusing on regulatory compliance in a financial institution, preferrably in a hedge fund. As this role needs constant communication with the MAS and other regulated bodies, English and Mandarin is a must for the role.
