Assistant Claims Manager, Medical Insurance (NEW)

Our client is one of the international insurance business groups in Hong Kong. They are hiring an Assistant Claims Manager, Medical Insurance (NEW) to support and oversee day-to-day medical and health claims operations. Responsibilities

• Supervise end-to-end processing of health and medical claims, ensuring accurate assessment, timely adjudication, and compliance with internal guidelines and service standards.
• Review and approve more complex or high-value claims within delegated authority, and escalate exceptional cases with clear recommendations.
• Handle enquiries and complaints from customers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders, and propose improvement initiatives to enhance claims service and workflow efficiency.
• Support training, coaching, and day-to-day guidance for junior claims staff to maintain quality, consistency, and technical knowledge in medical claims handling.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Business, Finance, Insurance, Healthcare, or related disciplines.
• At least 5–7 years of experience in health or medical insurance claims, preferably with exposure to group medical or individual medical products.
• Experience in a health insurance company, TPA, or medical claims administration function will be highly valued.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset and high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
