We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Data Scientist to join the team. The role will focus on leveraging advanced data science techniques to drive innovation, optimize business processes, and deliver actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Python, combined with a solid understanding of insurance operations and data management.

- Develop and deploy predictive models and machine learning solutions to support underwriting, claims, customer segmentation, and fraud detection.
- Support the development of different data science initiatives, including deep learning models and statistically advanced model scripts, to drive AI and analytics innovation.
- Contribute to LLM-related projects such as Knowledge Bot and Document Understanding, expanding AI applications across the business.
- Perform data extraction, cleaning, and transformation from multiple sources (policy systems, claims databases, CRM, external datasets).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate insurance business problems into data-driven solutions.
- Lead small project teams, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior analysts.
- Design and implement automated pipelines for data processing, model training, and reporting.
- Monitor and enhance the performance and effectiveness of existing models in production, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Deliver customer-centric insights through advanced data visualization and storytelling.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to expand the application of data science into broader business processes.
- Conduct requirements gathering, translate business needs into technical specifications, and ensure solutions align with strategic objectives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or actuarial modeling, preferably within insurance or financial services.
- Experience with Azure and Databricks considered an advantage.
