This International Law Firm is looking for seasoned AML Compliance professional, covering multiple regions. You will be joining a team of 4. Great exposure and great working culture are provided.

job scope.
As the Associate, AML Compliance in an International Law Firm covering multiple regions, your key responsibility will be to:
  • Ensure prompt completion of client verification, including AML, processes, prioritizing specific regional offices and clients involved in multi-jurisdictional matters.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on client entities using various public and proprietary sources.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients to gather necessary information for compliance checks.
  • Perform sanctions and politically exposed persons screenings, focusing on diverse names, including those from specific regions.
  • Conduct follow-ups on pending AML cases, continuously monitor completed cases, and periodically verify the accuracy of acquired personal identification documents. 
  • Regularly update internal databases with accurate client information and stay informed on regional compliance developments.
  • Support the review, maintenance, and enhancement of AML policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Assist with team operations, including documentation, monitoring, and participating in meetings, while providing support to colleagues as needed.
requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, risk management or a related field. Other relevant certifications (such as ACAMS, ICA) are a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years experience performing CDD & AML checks on entities and individuals (preferably in a law firm), with sound knowledge of relevant AML legislation and guidance
  • Strong research skills, including via internet, databases and other sources
  • Ability to think critically in analysing and solving problems
  • Good presence and ability to work well with all personnel
  • Good command of written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese) and English
