Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote the firm's retail fund range (initially equity-focused, with fixed income forthcoming) to intermediaries, including private banks, retail banks, wealth management platforms, and IFAs in Hong Kong.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distribution partners, identifying opportunities to increase product penetration, placement, and AUM growth.
  • Conduct product presentations, roadshows, training sessions, and due diligence meetings to educate intermediaries on the firm's investment philosophy, track record, and fund performance.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue/AUM goals by prioritizing high-potential clients and opportunities aligned with business development objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (investment, product, marketing, and compliance) to ensure seamless support for distribution partners and timely delivery of marketing materials, reporting, and market insights.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in Hong Kong's retail fund landscape to inform sales approaches and strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in fund sales, business development, or relationship management within asset management, preferably focused on retail/intermediary channels in Hong Kong.
  • Proven track record in distribution of investment funds, with experience driving AUM growth through banks, private banks, or IFAs highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Hong Kong's retail fund market, including SFC authorization processes and intermediary landscape.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain relevant SFC licenses (e.g., Type 1 regulated activity for dealing in securities, and/or Type 4 for advising on securities, as required for fund marketing).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, with strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
