About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Data Science Manager to lead our client’s advanced analytics and AI initiatives within the insurance domain. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, a strong track record of deploying scalable solutions and transforming traditional insurance processes with cutting-edge AI.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize advanced statistical methods to explore large datasets, uncover trends, and create predictive models that tackle business challenges, delivering actionable insights.
  • Design and implement high-impact AI use cases across the insurance value chain
  • Architect and deploy LLM and Generative AI models for use cases such as document processing, chatbots, and predictive analytics
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI integration across insurance workflows
  • Oversee end-to-end model lifecycle: data ingestion, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry regulations
  • Drive experimentation with emerging AI technologies and frameworks
  • Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of models on Azure cloud infrastructure
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics). PhD candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • 6+ years in data science or machine learning, with 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, PaLM) and Generative AI applications
  • Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and ML Ops practices
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI services, including Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and OpenAI integration
  • Deep understanding of NLP, deep learning, and model fine-tuning techniques
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks).
  • Familiarity with insurance data (claims, policies, risk models) is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese) and English.
