This leading Financial Institution is looking for seasoned risk talent to ensure the organization's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework remains robust, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives. As the Head of Risk Management in a Leading Financial Institution, your key responsibility will be to:
- Lead the enhancement and continuous review of the company’s enterprise risk management (ERM) framework, ensuring alignment with global best practices and regulatory expectations.
- Develop, refine, and maintain comprehensive risk management policies and procedures across the organization and its subsidiaries, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Design and implement tailored risk assessment methodologies, tools, and processes to address diverse risks across business units.
- Partner with business leaders to strengthen internal controls, providing expert guidance on risk mitigation strategies and operational resilience.
- Establish a centralized risk monitoring system to oversee key risk areas, including operational, financial, cyber, legal, third-party, and reputational risks.
- Drive the organization’s cyber resilience strategy, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and industry security standards.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on risk and control considerations for new business initiatives, projects, and corporate strategies.
- Deliver insightful risk reports to senior management, the Board, and regulators, highlighting exposures, trends, and mitigation progress.
- Support the CRO in presenting risk updates to key stakeholders, including executive committees, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, risk management or a related field. MBA or other relevant certifications (such as FRM, CFA, CFP) are a plus.
- At least 15 years of risk management experience, preferably within leading financial institutions, with a minimum of 8 years in a senior managerial role.
- Deep understanding of enterprise risk management, financial sector operations, and regulatory frameworks, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in cybersecurity and technology risk.
- Familiarity with global and local risk governance standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in financial services.
- Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and team management abilities, with a track record of strategic decision-making.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken); proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
