This well-reputed Regional bank is looking for seasoned legal counsel to join their team due to great success in their business last year. You will be joining a team of 3, reporting to the department head. Great worklife balance and great stability are provided.

job scope.
As the Legal Manager in a well-reputed Regional Bank, your key responsibility will be:

Advise and coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation matters, delivering precise, commercially astute guidance to senior management and relevant business units.
Draft, review, and negotiate a comprehensive suite of commercial agreements and legal documentation pertaining to the bank’s products, services, and transactional activities.
Provide prompt, pragmatic, and high-quality legal support to management and internal stakeholders across the organisation.
Regularly review and refine internal policies and procedures from a legal standpoint to ensure full alignment with current statutory and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with headquarters, overseas branches, and other internal functions to maintain consistency and coherence in the bank’s global policy framework.
Design and deliver targeted training sessions on key legal topics for staff, while keeping the organisation abreast of material developments in the regulatory and legal landscape.

Requirements.

Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
Prior in-house or private practice exposure within the banking or financial services sector is strongly preferred; demonstrable familiarity with banking operations will be highly regarded.
Proficiency in ISDA documentation and related derivatives agreements represents a distinct advantage.
Substantial experience and expertise in commercial litigation are essential.
Outstanding contract drafting, negotiation, and interpretation capabilities.
Exceptional proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Mandarin will be considered a significant advantage.
