About the company:
My client is an international law firm with a friendly and westernized culture, where collaboration, growth, and excellence are valued.

With the business expansion they have created a new headcount to be dedicated to look after their payroll regionally. They are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented payroll professional to join our team.

This role will be focusing on working closely with the payroll vendor for their international offices, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with local labor laws, and maintaining a positive relationship with the vendor.

Job Description:
  • Act as the main contact point with external payroll vendor for the monthly payroll calculation, act as a checker for multiple international offices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies
  • Work closely with regional HR teams to collect and validate payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, benefits, and deductions
  • Conduct thorough and timely data audits to ensure payroll accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll-related matters, providing guidance and support to HR teams and employees across international offices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, HR, and IT, to streamline payroll processes, enhance data integrity, and optimize systems when necessary
  • Generate regular payroll reports, including headcount, payroll cost analysis, tax reporting, and other ad-hoc reports as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive payroll information
Skills & Experiences required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing and management, preferably in a multinational law firm or professional services environment, candidates from payroll vendors are more than welcome to apply!
  • Having knowledge in some APAC countries would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with complex data sets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (both written and spoken). Proficiency in additional languages is a plus
