ABOUT THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities:
- Possesses the ability to think creatively and solve complex software problems
- Has a strong track record of producing clean, efficient, and high-quality code
- Actively participates in the agile software development life cycle
- Develops, maintains, and troubleshoots fully functional backend applications and microservices for controlling and managing robots globally
- Develops, maintains, and troubleshoots fully functional frontend applications based on UI designs and assets
- Designs and manages well-functioning databases, applications, and writes effective APIs
- Ideates software solutions and collaborates with stakeholders to bring new product features to life
- Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related technical discipline
- Possess a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience as a software engineer
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JS
- Experienced in front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
- Experienced in back-end frameworks such as C#, Java, or Python
- Proficient in both RDBMS and NoSQL database technologies (e.g. DB2, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis)
- Knowledgeable in cloud providers and their services (e.g. AWS)
- Experienced in Spring Boot and Java 11, as well as related technologies such as Spring Core, Spring MVC, Swagger, Tomcat 8, Maven, Jenkins, SVN, GIT, Postman/Newman, RESTful Services, Containers, GraphQL, and AWS Services
- Understanding of messaging services such as IBM MQ or Kafka
