This role provides first-line technical support to approximately 100 internal staff members within a dynamic legal environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, maintain system reliability, and uphold strict confidentiality standards essential to legal practice.
Responsibilities.
- Provide first-level IT support for hardware, software, and network issues across the firm.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
- Support legal-specific applications, including document management and case management systems.
- Maintain and monitor user accounts, email systems, and secure remote access (VPN).
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager or external vendors when necessary.
- Conduct routine checks on IT equipment, ensuring availability and reliability.
- Deliver basic training and guidance to staff on IT tools, cybersecurity awareness, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
- Assist in IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and compliance audits.
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of IT support experience, preferably in a professional services or legal firm environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with legal document management systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments) is an advantage.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Strong communication skills in both Mandarin and English; Cantonese is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple support requests efficiently.
- High level of integrity and commitment to data security and confidentiality.
