As the AML Manager in a well-reputed Insurer, your key responsibility will be:
- Conduct meticulous customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence on policyholders and beneficiaries to mitigate AML vulnerabilities.
- Monitor transactional activities with precision, identifying and escalating suspicious patterns in accordance with regulatory mandates.
- Collaborate with front-line teams to embed AML controls into daily operations, fostering a culture of vigilance and adherence.
- Perform periodic reviews and risk assessments on insurance products and client relationships, providing actionable insights to senior compliance officers.
- Assist in the development and delivery of tailored AML training programmes for operational staff, enhancing organisational resilience.
- Liaise with second-line functions to refine policies and procedures, bridging operational execution with strategic oversight.
- A bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CAMS or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in AML compliance within the financial services sector, ideally in insurance, with a minimum of three years in a first-line or analogous role.
- Profound understanding of global AML frameworks, including FATF recommendations, and local regulatory requirements pertinent to insurance entities.
- Exceptional analytical acumen, coupled with the ability to discern subtle risk indicators in complex transactional data.
- Superior communication skills, enabling articulate reporting and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the agility to navigate evolving compliance landscapes.
