This role is with a leading Chinese securities firm with a huge global prescence and a strong financial background. The firm is known for its platform on grooming their employees and this is a very unique opportunity to join them as a VP of settlements and eventually looking to move up to head of operations!

Job Description:
The firm is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President to oversee and manage the Settlements team with a focus on Futures and Options in Hong Kong. This person will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all transactions, as well as managing a team of experienced professionals.

- Oversee the Settlements team responsible for processing all Futures and Options transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of settlements
- Manage and mentor the Settlements team, ensuring a high level of performance and efficiency
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, traders and external vendors
- Implement and monitor policies and procedures to maintain and enhance operational efficiency and risk management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to settlements and related activities
- Work closely with other departments to communicate and resolve any settlement-related issues

Preferred Experience
- Strong experience in settlements for Futures and Options, with at least 8-10 years of experience at a financial institution; previous management experience preferred
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards related to settlements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with other teams
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, Cantonese is a plus
