Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead digital banking initiatives, bringing strong project management exposure and a proven ability to deliver complex technology programs. The role focuses on coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing stakeholders and vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and applying best‑practice methodologies to achieve successful outcomes in digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to align project objectives with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance on system architecture, integrations, and development practices; review technical deliverables.
  • Utilize coding knowledge to support technical discussions, troubleshoot issues, and validate solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Business Units) to align digital initiatives with bank-wide strategy.
  • Coordinate vendor and third-party engagements, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and solution integration.
  • Apply Agile and/or hybrid project management methodologies to accelerate delivery while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of project management experience, with at least 3+ years in application delivery within the banking/financial services sector in digital transformation.
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
  • Familiarity with digital banking platforms, APIs, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
  • Strong communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin).
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
