About the Opportunity:
  • Our esteemed client is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a proven expertise in financial management, ideally with a combination of experience in multinational/listed companies and start-ups.


Responsibilities: 

  • Play a crucial role as part of the leadership team, actively contributing to business strategy and commercial decision-making.
  • Take accountability for financial development and operational strategy, establishing and monitoring performance metrics that align with the company's strategic objectives. Implement control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to support and drive the overall business and group strategy.
  • Provide guidance on the company's medium and long-term financial strategy, encompassing capital markets and corporate finance initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of strategic business plans, ensuring the attainment of financial and operational goals.
  • Develop financial and tax strategies to optimize the company's financial position.
  • Supervise the preparation of annual and long-term budgets, as well as financial management reports.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and facilitating capital market transactions.
  • Manage the financial operations of the group and its overseas subsidiaries, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, capital and cash flow management, budget control, financial risk management, and legal compliance.
  • Ensure effective cash flow management, mitigate currency exposure, handle transfer pricing, taxation matters, and oversee asset management.
  • Implement operational best practices and ensure compliance with legal procedures and guidelines.
  • Lead a team of finance professionals and assume full accountability for financial management responsibilities.
  • Manage relationships with the company's audit, tax partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and execute the company's investor relations strategy, including organizing investor presentations, roadshows, and maintaining ongoing communication with the investment community.
  • Actively seek and secure funding from various sources such as banks, private equity, venture capital, and public markets to support the company's growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage the capital raising process, negotiate terms, and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors.
  • Ensure timely and transparent disclosure of financial information to investors and stakeholders, in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements: 

  • Seasoned finance professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience in financial management, preferably with a combination of multinational/listed and start-up experience.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in a finance-related field and hold a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA or equivalent).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, analytical, meticulous, organized, and reliable approach.
  • Demonstrated success in raising capital from diverse sources, including banks, private equity, venture capital, and public markets.
  • Experience in developing and executing effective investor relations strategies, including organizing investor presentations and roadshows.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin; proficiency in Cantonese is advantageous.
