This leading insurer is looking for a financial risk talent to join their team. You will be joining a team of 4, great working culture will be provided.

responsibility.
As the Director, Financial Risk for a leading insurer, your key responsibility will be to:
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of robust financial risk models to measure and monitor key risk exposures
  • Collaborate with actuarial, investment, and business unit leaders to assess and mitigate risks across the organization, also supporting in financial risks self-assessment coordination, including provide independent review on the assessment and monitor the implementation of risk mitigation plans
  • Establish risk appetites, limits, and tolerances to align with the company's strategic objectives
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of the company's risk profile to the executive team and Board of Directors
  • Support in financial risk related initiatives, including product reinsurance, account receivable analysis, investment, business plan etc., and provide advice from financial risk prospective
  • Lead the implementation of risk management policies, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging risks to proactively identify and address potential threats

requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial risk management, preferably within the life insurance industry, product pricing and development, reinsurance, actuarial and investment related regulatory requirements and accounting standards (including but not limited to IFRS9/17, HKRBC etc.)
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk modeling, quantitative analysis, and enterprise risk management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Industry designations such as FSA, CERA, or FRM preferred
