Job description

Our client, a renowned and globally recognized brand in the retail industry, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Manager to join their team. With over 15 years of experience in the retail industry, the ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Decision Making:
- Develop and execute the overall strategic plan and vision for the company, in alignment with the brand's objectives.
- Identify and capitalize on market trends, opportunities, and potential risks to drive business growth.
- Make informed and data-driven decisions to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial targets.

2. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring their professional development and growth.
- Promote a positive work environment, encouraging innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.

3. Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including sales, marketing, customer experience, inventory management, and logistics.
- Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness to optimize productivity and profitability.
- Develop and implement processes and systems to enhance operational excellence and ensure seamless workflow.

4. Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and revenue generation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify new business opportunities.

5. Financial Management:
- Manage the financial performance of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, costs, and profitability to make informed business decisions.
- Implement measures to control expenses, improve margins, and maximize profitability.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the retail industry, with a proven track record of success in a senior management role.
- Strong commercial mindset and business acumen, with the ability to make strategic decisions based on market analysis and KPIs.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Proven ability to drive business growth, increase sales, and achieve financial targets.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, including sales, marketing, inventory management, and customer experience.
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Fluent in English.
