This well-reputed European Private Bank is looking for seasoned credit structuring talent with management experience to join them and to lead the credit structuring team due to great success in their business last year. You will be leading a team of 3, reporting directly to the Department Head of North Asia. Great working culture and great remuneration package are provided.

job scope.
  • As the Head of Credit Structuring and Lending Solution in a well-reputed European Private Bank, your key responsibility will be:
  • Lead the credit structuring team with mandate to handle complex and Lombard credits with exceptions to credit policies, liaise with the Private Bankers, Team Heads, Market Heads, product and business lines as well as various functions (legal, compliance, risk) to set up credit facilities for clients and prospects.
  • Engage in negotiations with clients - provide optimal structures in view of premiums, client profile, credit policies, competition’s offering, processes and bank’s risk appetite.
  • Conduct and cite research and necessary due diligence for transactions
  • Approve credit requests
  • Assure client accounts are operating within credit guidelines, approved exceptions.
  • Draft term sheets, credit proposals and indicative proposals for clients, present the requests in credit committees when necessary 
  • Oversee the transactions, structuring and revenues generated.
  • Advise on all credit related issues including but not limited to Hong Kong Monetary Authority related issues, liaise with external partners (lawyers, valuers etc.) as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Enhance policies, procedures, systems at APAC level and at Head Office level for projects assigned.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines, report incidents when necessary

  • Degree holder in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management or related disciplines
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience with proven track record of executing complex credit transactions, ideally in Private Banking/ Private Wealth Sector
  • Ability to analyze complex credit situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work in an international institution with staff in different locations and with diverse backgrounds
  • Mature personality with strong conflict resolution skill and solutions oriented mindset
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong writing skills for ensuring good quality of credits for the entire team
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and / or Cantonese is preferred but not essential.
