Job description

As PMO Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving project governance and delivery excellence across the insurance operations. You’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of initiatives and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are well-planned, efficiently executed, and aligned with business priorities. From managing timelines and budgets to improving reporting and governance, your role will be central to delivering value across the insurance programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain PMO governance, tools, and reporting standards.
  • Oversee project portfolio across core insurance functions (e.g., policy admin, claims, compliance)
  • Support project managers with planning, budgeting, and resource coordination
  • Monitor project performance, risks, and dependencies across business and IT teams
  • Facilitate executive reporting and stakeholder communication
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and internal controls
  • Lead post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related disciplines required; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a PMO / business transformation lead.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, planning, and communication skills are essential.
  • Proven expertise in financial controls, cost management, and commercial oversight.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success driving governance frameworks and operational excellence.
  • Expertise in programme management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Power BI, Excel).
  • Working knowledge of traditional (Waterfall) and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience within financial services, ideally securities services or asset services, highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including client interfacing.
  • Professional certifications in PMP or Six Sigma preferred
  • Good command in Cantonese , Mandarin and English.
