Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal teams and external collaborators to develop and deliver a world-class business architecture for the bank.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale, complex digital transformation initiative for the bank's core banking system
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of digital transformation projects, ensuring they align with the bank’s strategic objectives and are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, business, operations, compliance) to execute the project plan.
- Design and implement intelligent workflows utilizing RPA, APIs, and agentic automation to streamline operations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies in a timely manner
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, including end-to-end workflow redesign, innovation projects, system enhancements, and process mining/improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across business units and functions to shape business strategies, map user-centric value streams, and translate these into actionable initiatives with high-quality deliverables.
- Support departmental leadership in planning and coordinating administrative procedures and systems, identifying opportunities for process optimization.
- Manage timelines and schedules for business initiatives and product development cycles, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the banking/financial services industry
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, enterprise-wide technology projects.
- In-depth understanding of the project lifecycle in core banking systems, digital transformation initiatives, and related technologies, etc.
- Expertise in leading cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and negotiate across diverse teams and management levels. Familiarity with design thinking, lean methodologies, and agile practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools
- PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred
- Possession of at least one recognized professional certification under the HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework (e.g., CISSP, CRISC, TOGAF) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
