We are working with a leading bank in Asia with global network. As part of their continued growth, Captar has been engaged to drive the search for a VP, Infrastructure Architect to join their Hong Kong Team. As the infrastructure architect, you will be responsible for driving operations and automation to ensure product delivery and consistent and stable services. You will be working very closely with the services team and vendors to support the bank growth and development with modern technology solutions. You will partner closely with the Head of Infrastructure services to deliver innovation, development, and deployment of technology solutions. In addition, you will have to ensure that IaaS system fully supports the bank needs both On-Premises and Cloud. You will also be working closely with external vendors, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure technology strategy and execution are aligned.

About The role
- Build and manage a team for maintaining critical bank IT infrastructure and network for supporting Asia Oceania Region
- Build a new dedicated team for supporting maintaining current regional infrastructure
- To oversee and provide domain services (middleware, microservice, monitoring, remote access) to IT & business users by ensuring system performance and developing recommendations for corrections or improvements
- Working together with other colleagues in terms of maintenance tasks such as change management, incident response, vendor control, end of life control, resource management, risk management etc.
- Creating annual team business plan, organizing team including hiring/training team members
- Support promoting IT infrastructure-related projects based on the Bank’s development standards as infrastructure SME
- Support project team for replacing existing old infrastructure that has challenges
- Defining cloud (Azure/ AWS/ GCP/ GCC) strategy and technical solutions, including scope and implementation plans
- Review and implement programs to drive the development of competency and skills of engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, Business or any relevant field with 8+ years of FS experience
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure architecture design and management.
- Experience with Cloud (Azure/ AWS) is an advantage
- Experience with DevOps tools (Containers, Ansible, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge and working experience of IT infrastructure services is required IBM ICP, IBM WebSphere Application Server, JBoss Web Server, Oracle WebLogic
- Knowledge in HKMA Technology Risk Management Guideline
